Nathan Cody's second directorial feature makes its transition from silent, black & white to colorful talkies with a modern-day take on a family drama. After the passing of a late husband and father, a now widowed woman (Shanda Christiansen) and her daughter (Mimi Pendergrast) come home from his funeral and begin to take in the emotional consequences of his death in their own personal ways: the mother, Samantha, in a more chaotic and lively fashion, and the daughter, Morgan, in a more subdued and closed-off fashion. As Samantha makes attempts to connect with her estranged daughter and somehow move on from her own grief, Samantha begins to uncover the dark secrets about her husband and daughter's relationship that was kept hidden from her for many years.
